Virus and scam cleanup · Katy, TX

Scammed, hacked or full of pop-ups? Let’s clean it up.

It happens to careful people. We remove what should not be there, close the doors scammers use, and help you lock down your accounts, calmly and without judgment.

If it is happening right now

Five things to do first.

Do these before anything else, whether or not you book with us.

  1. Hang up and disconnect

End the call, then take the computer offline: turn off Wi-Fi or unplug the network cable.

  2. Do not pay anything

No gift cards, crypto, wire transfers or payment apps, whatever they say will happen.

  3. Call your bank

If you shared banking or card details, call the number on the back of your card.

  4. Change passwords elsewhere

From a different device you trust, starting with your email account.

  5. Report it

Report the scam to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. It helps warn others.

What we do

A clean computer and safer accounts.

  • Viruses and fake security programs

Adware, malware and fake “security” programs removed, with a proper scan afterwards.

  • Remote access left behind

We find and remove remote-access tools a scammer installed so they cannot come back.

  • Pop-ups and hijacked browsers

Scary pop-ups, changed home pages and bad extensions cleaned out of every browser.

  • Accounts locked down

Email and important accounts secured with two-step verification. You type your own passwords.

  • What else was touched

We check what the scammer may have changed, opened or installed, and tell you plainly.

  • Spotting the next one

A short, practical explanation of how these scams start, so the next attempt is easy to spot.

Why we are different

Real tech support never calls you out of the blue.

Scammers pretend to be tech support, so we built every step to be easy to tell apart. On Windows there is nothing to download: Quick Assist is already built in.

  1. You always contact us first

We never call, email or pop up on your screen unprompted. If someone claiming to be us contacts you first, it is not us.

  2. No rush

You book a time, and nothing happens until you are ready.

  3. No pre-payment, no passwords

We never ask for your passwords, banking details, or payment by gift card, crypto or wire. You type your own passwords. You pay after it is fixed.

  4. Nothing to download on Windows

We use Microsoft Quick Assist, which is built into Windows 10 and 11. We read you a 6-digit code to start. For Macs and phones we guide you through a Zoom or FaceTime screen share.

  5. Always attended

You watch everything we do and can end the session in one click. We never have unattended access to a home computer.

What it costs

$59/hour

60-minute minimum, then billed in 15-minute steps. You pay after it is clean, never before, and never by gift card, crypto or wire.

No fix, no fee for remote help.

Good questions

Before you ask.

A pop-up told me to call Microsoft. Is it real?

No. Microsoft and Apple do not put phone numbers in pop-up warnings. Close the browser (or restart the computer) and do not call the number.

A scammer was on my computer. Is it safe to use?

Not until it is checked. Scammers often leave remote-access tools behind. Keep it offline until we look at it.

How do I know you are not a scammer?

Because you contacted us, nothing happens until you are ready, we never ask for payment up front or for your passwords, and you watch everything. Read our safety promise.

Can you get my money back?

We cannot, but we can tell you who to call (your bank, the FTC) and help you secure everything so it does not happen again.
