What if it matches but I wasn't expecting it?
Treat it as unexpected. Caller ID and email sender names can be faked, so a match is not proof by itself. We only reach out after you have contacted us, so if you didn't, hang up or delete it and contact us yourself using the details on this page.
Why do you say you never contact me first?
It is how we keep remote help safe: you ask for help, then we respond. We don't cold-call, send unprompted texts or emails, or show pop-ups. Once you have reached out, we may call or text about that request from the numbers on this page, for example to confirm a time or share your repair status.
Do you keep what I enter?
No. The check compares it with our own list of numbers, addresses and links and then lets it go. It is not saved or linked to you. The only thing kept is a count of recent checks from the same connection, so robots can't overload the page.
What if I already paid, shared a code or let someone in?
Stop replying, turn off the computer's Wi-Fi or unplug its cable, and call your bank on the number on the back of your card. You can report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov. If you like, we can check your computer and remove anything left behind, and you pay after it is fixed.
